The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces that Vincent Lamar West has been sentenced to 15 years in prison for possession of a firearm by a felon.

On December 13, 2023, officers responded to a call on N. Congress Avenue in Boynton Beach. Thanks to their swift action and thorough investigation, Vincent Lamar West was arrested at the scene. West, a habitual violent felony offender with multiple prior convictions, was found in possession of a loaded firearm. The case went to trial and West was convicted on one count of Felon in Possession of a Firearm.

The sentence imposed by the court includes a 10-year mandatory prison term, to be served day for day without any gain time.
