A Palm Beach County jury on March 19 returned a guilty verdict for the driver in a deadly Delray Beach crash two years ago, State Attorney Alexcia Cox announces.

After a four-day trial, David D’Ambrosio was convicted of vehicular homicide in the death of his front seat passenger. A sentencing hearing is pending.

Evidence showed the defendant was speeding through a red light before crashing his SUV into a Solid Waste Authority tractor trailer at the intersection of West Linton Boulevard and Southwest 4th Avenue on February 26, 2024.

The case was investigated by the Delray Beach Police Department and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Francine Edwards and Matthew Kimball of our Traffic Homicide Unit.
