A jury on Wednesday found a man guilty of fatally shooting his ex-wife and her new husband, State Attorney Alexcia Cox announces.

After a four-day trial, Sony Josaphat was convicted of two counts of first-degree murder with a firearm.

The shootings occurred on December 9, 2023, outside the victims’ home in suburban West Palm Beach.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled for April 10.

This case was investigated by the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office and prosecuted by Assistant State Attorneys Mathri Thannikkotu and Alissa Loewenstein.
