The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces that a jury on Oct. 10 found Tony P. Huggins guilty of first-degree murder with a firearm. The defendant also was convicted of grand theft of a motor vehicle.

A sentencing hearing is scheduled on Nov. 13. Huggins faces life in prison for the murder conviction.

The victim was shot to death while standing near a Belle Glade intersection, early on the morning of Oct. 22, 2022. At the time, Huggins was driving a Lexus SUV he stole from outside a Lake Worth residence hours earlier.
