A man received a life sentence on Thursday for a deadly shooting in Belle Glade, State Attorney Alexcia Cox announces.

Louis M. Garcia was previously convicted of first-degree murder with a firearm, attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, and three counts of aggravated assault with a firearm on a law enforcement officer.

The murder victim was shot on June 6, 2021, during a fight between several individuals in the parking lot of a pop-up rodeo.
