State Attorney’s Office Announces Sealing and Expungement Workshop From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday in Riviera Beach

Individuals with arrest records in Palm Beach County are invited to a free workshop where they can receive help with applications to have a single criminal charge sealed or expunged from their records. This special event will be held from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, February 2, at Wells Recreation Center, 2409 Avenue H West, in Riviera Beach.

State Attorney Dave Aronberg’s team is being joined in this effort by the Riviera Beach Police Department, the Clerk of the Circuit Court & Comptroller for Palm Beach County, and the Public Defender’s Office. Only adult cases that occurred in Palm Beach County in State Court – and did not result in a conviction or prison – will be reviewed during the workshop.

Attendees are asked to bring a state driver’s license, Florida-issued photo ID or U.S. passport, along with any old paperwork from the arrest. Prosecutors will review official records to determine if individuals are eligible.

Those who qualify will receive assistance in preparing a notarized application to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, complete with fingerprints. Applicants are responsible for a $75 fee.

This is a great opportunity for individuals to pursue a clean arrest record.
