Palm Beach County State Attorney Alexcia Cox announces that a jury found Reynaldo Paredes Martinez guilty of manslaughter.

The evidence at trial showed that Paredes Martinez and an accomplice used a knife to kill a 49-year-old man on April 2, 2022, at the defendant’s residence in suburban West Palm Beach. The victim’s body was found in a dumpster at another residential community a few miles away.

Assistant State Attorneys Mathri Thannikkotu and Jo Wilensky prosecuted the case, which was investigated by the West Palm Beach Police Department.

Sentencing is set for November 5.
