A Palm Beach County jury on Wednesday found a man guilty of robbing a grocery store of more than $700 at gunpoint, the State Attorney’s Office announces.

Bernard Ferguson Jr., 30, was convicted of robbery with a firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm. The robbery happened in early 2023. Sentencing is pending.

Assistant State Attorneys Paul Newman and Adriana Lopez prosecuted the case.

The victim, who bravely testified during the three-day trial, thanked the prosecutors and West Palm Beach Police for obtaining justice.

This was the first trial for our office’s new 10-20-Life Robbery Unit.
