In February, a jury found Marc Mejias, 27, guilty of robbery with a weapon, trespass and improper exhibition of a weapon.

The court sentenced the defendant as a Prison Release Reoffender, based on a finding by the jury that the robbery was committed within three years of his release from a state prison sentence.

Assistant State Attorneys Daiana Espindola and Victoria Thacker prosecuted the case.
