Diaz, 30, was found guilty in a March 2021 horrific stabbing of two people inside a Dollar Tree store in suburban West Palm Beach. The jury returned the verdict after about nine hours of deliberation over two days.

Circuit Judge Cymonie Rowe presided over the trial and will schedule a sentencing hearing. The charges are punishable by up to 60 years in prison.

Assistant State Attorneys Jason Jovine and Weir King prosecuted the defendant and obtained justice for the victims, a store manager and a good Samaritan. They bravely testified against their attacker.
