A Palm Beach County jury has found a man guilty of one count of attempted manslaughter and one count of resisting an officer without violence, State Attorney Alexcia Cox announced.

The verdict stems from a July 25, 2025, incident in Belle Glade, where Ruben Luerano shot the victim outside a store following an argument. Evidence presented at trial showed that after the shooting, he did not stop for deputies and attempted to dispose of the firearm used.

Sentencing is scheduled for June 29.
