The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces that a jury has found Alan Mark Asbury III guilty of first-degree murder with a firearm in the case of a 2019 Lake Worth Beach triple-shooting.

Asbury, 26, also was convicted of two counts of attempted second degree murder and one count of discharging a firearm from a vehicle.

Circuit Judge Daliah Weiss presided over the trial and scheduled a sentencing hearing on April 17. The murder conviction carries an automatic sentence of life in prison without the possibility of parole.

Jurors found Asbury responsible for the shootings on Sept. 29, 2019. The 21-year-old murder victim was hit by bullets at least 24 times, according to evidence in the trial.

Assistant State Attorneys Courtney Behar and Diva Casas prosecuted the case and obtained justice for the victim and his family.
