A jury on Tuesday found a man guilty of crimes that occurred at a Delray Beach home in 2023, the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces.

Ernest Montgomery, 43, was convicted of: burglary with assault or battery; attempted sexual battery (victim 18 years of age or older); and voyeurism.

After the verdict, Judge John Kastrenakes ordered that the defendant be declared a sexual offender. A sentencing hearing is scheduled on July 25.

The victim bravely testified during the two-day trial. We thank the Delray Beach police officers and detectives who worked on this case.
