Robert Bryan, 48, was convicted of three counts of Aggravated Assault (Deadly Weapon), Battery, and Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

According to evidence presented at the trial, the defendant walked down the middle of Clematis Street in West Palm Beach on the morning of Jan. 1, 2024 and began to randomly attack people with a large knife.

Three victims – including two public works employees who were working to clean the area following New Year’s Eve celebrations – bravely testified before the jury.

Assistant State Attorney Christopher Morgan, with assistance from Daniella Margetic, prosecuted the case. A sentencing hearing for the defendant is pending.
