On Jan. 11, 2024, Lusane pulled a firearm on a Lyft driver, forcing him to drive to two different bank branches, where he compelled the victim to withdraw a total of $1,000 from ATMs. Lusane then ordered the driver to stop at a convenience store, took the car keys, made a purchase, and continued the ordeal until the victim was finally able to escape.

This case was successfully prosecuted by our newly established 10/20/Life Robbery Unit, with outstanding support and collaboration from the Boynton Beach Police Department.

This sentence ensures Lusane, 23, will serve significant time for these violent acts. We extend our thanks to Assistant State Attorney Paul Newman for securing this outcome and obtaining justice for the victim and our community.
