The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces two defendants today received lengthy prison sentences for child sex crimes:

* Paul Del Castillo, 61, was sentenced to 45 years and declared a sexual predator. In May, a jury convicted him of two counts of sexual battery (minor victim) for attacks on a child in 2018.

Assistant State Attorney Gabriel Montiel prosecuted the case along with Special Victims Unit Chief Lindsay Bruno. In their sentencing recommendation, the prosecutors noted that Del Castillo was previously convicted of abusing two children in Miami in 1989.

“The Defendant is a serial sexual predator whose crimes have left permanent scars on multiple children over decades,” Montiel wrote. “The sentence in this case should serve not only as punishment for the Defendant, but as protection for future children from becoming his next victims.”

* Faith Angram, 26, was sentenced to 21 years and declared a sexual offender after she pleaded guilty to unlawful sexual activity with a minor, and two counts of lewd or lascivious battery.

Detectives from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office began investigations in 2023 concerning two victims. Angram was working as a middle school cafeteria worker in Pahokee in 2019 when she met the first victim who was then in the seventh grade; the crimes happened off campus.

Assistant State Attorneys Christopher Morgan and Nicole Corring prosecuted the case and obtained justice for the victims.
