• Warren Golden, 37, was sentenced on Friday to 60 years in prison, after a jury last month found him guilty of second-degree murder in a 2015 homicide in suburban West Palm Beach. Assistant State Attorneys Mathri Thannikkotu and Jo Wilensky, who prosecuted the defendant, recommended a life sentence.
• A jury on Tuesday found Leonard Paul Moody, 30, guilty of trafficking in fentanyl (28g or more). Sentencing is set for May 30; the defendant faces a 25-year mandatory sentence. Assistant State Attorneys Samuel Farot and Daniel Gross prosecuted the defendant.
• Edwin Santiago, 33, pleaded guilty on Thursday to five charges in three cases from 2023 and 2024: robbery; burglary of an occupied dwelling; burglary of a structure; possession of a Schedule I substance; and introducing contraband to a county detention facility. As a Habitual Violent Felony Offender, he was sentenced to a total of 30 years in prison. Assistant State Attorney Christy Rogers prosecuted the defendant.
• Corey O’Bryant, 34, pleaded guilty on Thursday to second-degree murder with a firearm, grand theft (motor vehicle) while in possession of firearm, and felon in possession of a firearm (actual possession). The court imposed a 30-year mandatory sentence, to be served day for day without any gain time. Chief Assistant State Attorney Adrienne Ellis and Assistant State Attorney Jo Wilensky prosecuted the defendant.
• A jury on Tuesday found a 61-year-old man guilty of trespass on property other than a structure or conveyance after warning, and resisting an officer without violence. The court imposed a 12-month probation sentence. Assistant State Attorneys Thor Bozicevic and Adam Bernstein prosecuted the case.
