The Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces that criminal trial juries this week returned these guilty verdicts:

• Sterlin Willis was convicted of two counts of burglary of a dwelling and two counts of theft. On May 21, 2024 – less than two months after being released from prison – the defendant broke into two houses in Delray Beach in less than an hour. Sentencing is pending; the maximum possible sentence is 51 years in prison. Assistant State Attorneys Weir King and Melanie Ouma prosecuted the case.
• George McClease was convicted of false imprisonment, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor counts of battery and criminal mischief. The crimes occurred in Pahokee on Nov. 8, 2024, when McClease injured a woman and prevented her from leaving a residence. A sentencing hearing is scheduled on Oct. 3. Assistant State Attorneys Adam Bernstein and Victoria Thacker prosecuted the case.
• Paul Magnum was convicted of organized scheme to defraud ($50,000 or more) , fraudulent use of personal identification information ($100,000 or more), and uttering a forgery. In 2021, Magnum schemed to take ownership of a 56-foot boat with a sale price of $700,000. A sentencing hearing is set for Oct. 16. Assistant State Attorneys Michael Del Sontro and Michael Rachel of our White Collar Crime unit prosecuted the case.
• Jessie Lee Moore Jr. was convicted of trafficking in oxycodone, trafficking in a fentanyl derivative, trafficking in a substituted cathinone, and trafficking in cocaine. Moore was arrested in May 2023 as part of an ongoing narcotics investigation by West Palm Beach Police. His sentencing hearing is set for Oct. 23. Assistant State Attorneys Lauren Gutierrez and Daiana Espindola prosecuted the case.
