• A 26-year-old man was convicted of second-degree murder with a firearm, in a case involving a 2021 shooting in Loxahatchee. Assistant State Attorneys Courtney Behar and Bethany Johnson prosecuted the case.

• A 49-year-old man was convicted of fraudulent use of personal identification information, $5,000 or more. Assistant State Attorneys Michael Rachel and Stacey Ibarra prosecuted the defendant, who admitted to being an unlicensed contractor.

• A 25-year-old man was convicted of the charge of felon in possession of a firearm, actual possession. Assistant State Attorneys Christy Rogers and Natalia Savchyk prosecuted the case. The jury also found the defendant is a Habitual Violent Felony Offender, meaning the court may impose an enhanced sentence.

• A 45-year-old man was convicted of the charge of felon in possession of a firearm or ammunition. Assistant State Attorneys Vanessa Arrieta and Jennifer Santos prosecuted the defendant.
