On Monday, Assistant State Attorney Lauren Bishop led the way on a non-jury trial on Monday in juvenile court. It was a domestic battery case, and the judge found in favor of the state.

This means the young defendant will get much needed services to get back on the right track. Prosecutor Lora Lea Vogel assisted during the one-day trial.

During the previous week, guilty verdicts from county court included:

• A 2024 misdemeanor battery case prosecuted by Kevin Ortega and Britni Cohen.

• A 2024 DUI case prosecuted by Melanie Ouma and Jennifer Santos.
