A jury on Tuesday found a woman guilty of a robbery-homicide that happened eight years ago, the Palm Beach County State Attorney’s Office announces.

Helena Roberts, 25, was convicted of first-degree felony murder and robbery with a firearm. The 54-year-old victim was robbed and shot to death on a West Palm Beach sidewalk in June 2017.

Assistant State Attorneys Jo Wilensky and Courtney Behar prosecuted the case. We thank the West Palm Police and Riviera Beach detectives and officers who conducted the investigation.

Sentencing is pending. Roberts has been serving a 12-year prison sentence since 2018, after pleading guilty to attempted first-degree murder with a firearm, five counts of robbery with a firearm, and other offenses.
