Murielle Joseph, 32, was sentenced Wednesday to five years in prison to be followed by 10 years of probation. Joseph pleaded guilty to the court to five counts of Exploitation of Disabled Adult, for actions that occurred in 2020 and 2021.

15th Circuit Judge Caroline Shepherd ordered the defendant to pay more than $20,000 in restitution to four victims and one victim’s estate. Joseph also is not permitted to work in any industry that provides care.
