The Domestic Violence Information System (DVIS) provides a centralized repository and source for information about victims and batterers involved in domestic violence. The purpose of the project is to facilitate more effective interventions for battered women and their children by promoting collaborative involvement in policies and practices regarding intervention into family violence by the courts, child protective services, and social services providers.
